    Resistance to CO2/H2S Corrosion of a Low-carbon Microalloy Steel

    • Based on electrochemical method,weight loss method and SEM,the corrosion of a low carbon micro-alloy steel was studied under three kinds of conditions of H2S only(pH=2.9),CO2/H2S( 1:1,pH=2.9) and CO2/H2S (1:1,pH=5.3),respectively.The results indicated that the corrosion rate of low-carbon micro alloy steel was reduced when CO2 existed,the formation of compact protective film.the existence of microcracks in corrosion products enhanced the corrosion rate.
