Fracture Failure Analysis of Piston Engine Exhaust Pipe

The fracture failure of the piston engine exhaust pipe was analyzed from welding structure defects,welding structure defects and working environment etc.The results showed that the exhaust pipe structure design was not reasonable and there was stress concentration.Bad working environment resulted in decrease of material corrosion resistance,and exhaust air corroded exhaust pipe.The stress concentration after welding and corrosion induced the pipe fracture.
