Analyses of Cracking Accident of Laminated Plate in A Carbamide Synthetic Tower

The lining of a carbamide synthetic tower was in good condition.But there were a lot of cracks in many laminated plates and welding lines.The reason for cracking was analyzed.The leaking of discharge steam used for leakage detection into the laminated plates and the existance of great tensile stress in the tower resulted in stress corrosion cracking.Some proposals such as using the air to detect leakage etc are suggested.
