Influence of Soil Humidity on Corrosion Behavior of Q235 Steel in Polluted Soils

    • The corrosion behaviors of Q235 steel in polluted soils with different humidity were studied by using polarization curve technique, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and EDAX.It was found that the polluted soil humidity obviously affected the corrosion behavior of Q235 steel. The corrosion rate of Q235 steel increased with the increasing of soil humidity and reached a maximum at 20% water content, then decreased with the increasing of soil humidity. There were obvious cracks and corrosion pits in the surface of Q235 steel when the polluted soil humidity was 20%.
