Abstract
Weight-loss method (rotation specimen method and dynamic simulation method) and electrochemical methods (polarization curves and linear polarization resistance measurement) were employed to evaluate the corrosion of three condenser tube materials (#20 carbon steel, HSn70-1B brass and 316L stainless steel) in surface water. The results indicate that the corrosion rates of HSn70-1B brass and 316L stainless steel were both less than 0.005 mm/a in surface water treated by scale-corrosion inhibitors and acid with concentration ratio of 4. The result of dynamic simulation test was a little less than that of rotation specimen method. The corrosion rates obtained by electrochemiscal methods and mass loss measurement were basically the same.
