Residual Life Assessment of Reforming Furnace Tubes

The residual life of reforming furnace tubes was calculated by measuring and analyzing the tubes’ chemical composition, microstructure, mechanical properties, mechanical behavior at high temperature and creep oupture performance. This made it possible to know the safe operation status of reforming furnace for hydrogen generation. Considering some safety factor, the residual life of the tubes was estimated 6 years.
