Corrosion Cause Analysis of the Oil Cooler in a Power Plant

    • For the corrosion of oil cooler in a power plant, the circulating water drugs, water quality and copper pipe materials were tested, and the corrosion cause of the oil cooler was analyzed from the site operation and management mode. The results showed that long-term water disabling was the main reason of corrosion of the oil cooler and bacteria growth was also an important reason for corrosion. Bacteria and electrochemical corrosion boosted the occurrence of corrosion at the same time. In order to avoid the occurrence of similar problems, some suggestions are put forward.
