Inhibitor Screen for Seawater Sealing of Seafloor Pipelines

    • During the docking repair, sea-pipelines connected to the FPSO (floating production storage and offloading) will offstream and use seawater to seal up for safekeeping. Seawater will make sea-pipeline corrosion and affect the normal use after unlocking. By stimulating the environment of sea-pipeline, using polarization resistance method and weight-loss method, the kind of inhibitor to be used was screened. the suitable inhibitor and the best concentration of filling during the offstream were studied. The results show that the effect of inhibitor HYH-28 is the best when storage medium was sea water. From the corrosion resistance and economy, the best concentration of filling of the HYH-28 was 40 mg·L-1.
