Preparation and Properties of Waterborne Corrosion Resistant Transparent Coating on Steel

Using various auxiliaries,taking styrene-acrylic as principal film-former,the optimum formula had been obtained by orthogonal design and a kind of waterborne transparent corrosion resistant coating adaptable to the surface of steel has been prepared.The results indicated that this coating had better feature of adhesion as well as tarnish resistance,humidity resistance,withering resistance,flexibility,impact resistance and temperature change resistance.Moreover,the lowest temperature of film-formation reached 4.9 ℃.The coating can meet the protection requirement of steel outdoors.
