    Synthesis and Performance of an Oil Field Inhibitor

    • An imidazoline corrosion inhibitor was synthesized from diethylenetriamine and oleic acid using dimethylbenzene as a water carrying agent,and the quaternization took place with benzyl chloride.The synergistic inhibition effect of imidazoline inhibitor with organic compounds and the corrosion inhibition to A3 steel in simulated solution of oil field waste water were investigated by static weight loss method and polarization technique in 5% HCl medium.The results showed that imidazoline inhibitor had obvious synergistic effects with non-ionic surfactant and cinnamaldehyde,and the best mass ratio was 10∶1∶1.Imidazoline inhibitor is a kind of anodic mixed inhibitor and the corrosion inhibition rate to A3 steel under static conditions reached 99.3%.
