Certification of Failure Mechanism of 187137-IP Relief Ppressure Valve Spool by Fluent

The delivery of coal slurry requires high pressure and high flow capacity during the liquefying process of coal slurry.The damage of the spool by the flushing of the coal slurry is very severe .By means of numerical simulation of the valve′s inner flow field using Fluent software and comparing with the experiment,the failure mechanism of 187137-IP relief pressure valve spool was found out,and the suggestion for improving the structure of the valve base was presented.
