Effect of Carbon Dioxide on the Anticorrosion of Generator Inner Cooling Water

    • At present, the problem of carbon dioxide dissolation and continuous accumulation in the generator inner cooling water is increasingly outstanding. The relationships of cation conductivity (CC) and pH with carbon dioxide was theoretically analyzed. And the influence of carbon dioxide at different degree contents on the corrosion of copper conductor in the generator inner cooling water was studied by electrochemical method and using a dynamic simulation experiment set. The results showed that it was appropriate to utilize the cation conductivity to represent the content of dissolved carbon dioxide and to supervise and control the cation conductivity below 0.1 μS/cm when inner cooling water was supervised so as to improve the corrosion protection effect of copper and veracity of on-line measurement of pH.
