Failure Rules of Chlorinated Rubber Coatings in Coastal Atmospheric Environment

Abstract
EIS and numerical analysis technique were used to investigte the degradation of chlorinated rubber coating used in coastal atmospheric enviroment.The influence of time on coating porosity under different conditions was also studied.The results indicated that the change of the coating resistance and coating porosity with time could be described as follow: y=a+bx.With the increase of coating thickness,the increasement of coating porosity became more difficult,while the oxygen diffusion process was promoted.Increasement of defects accelerated the formation of coating porosity significantly.
