Abstract
The cathodic protection of brass for thermodynamic equipment in power plants was investigated by electrochemical experiments. The polarization curve and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) at different potentials of brass were measured to determine the cathodic protection parameters and optimize the protection potential. The morphology and RP of the investigated electrode at different protection potentials were comparatively examined. Results show that the optimum cathodic protection parameters such as protection potential and protection current could be obtained by polarization curve and EIS measurements.
