Casing Inspection Tools for Corrosion Evaluation of Gas Well

The widely used methodes of corrosion detection such as multi-arm caliper tool, downhole TV unit, ultrasonic logging technologies and magnetic detection instruments are introduced in this paper. The work principles, technique characteristics, field application and ability to describe corrosion of each method is also discussed. Some suggestions for method selection principles and recommendation of safe operation are also put forward.
