    Influence of Propargyl Alcohol on Electrochemical Behavior of AZ31 Magnesium Alloy Anode

    • To improve the activation properties and reduce the corrosion rate of AZ31 magnesium alloy,theinfluences of propargyl alcohol on the electrochemical behaviors of AZ31magnesium alloy in KCl solution were studiedby electrochemical methods.The results show that propargyl alcohol not only can reduce the corrosion rate(inhibitionefficiency was 45.6 %),but also can improve the activation properties of AZ31 magnesium alloy,when 0.5 %propargyl alcohol was added into 0.25 mol?L-1 KCl.The current density of AZ31reached 7.97 mA?cm-2 at-1.40V(vs.SCE,the same below),Eocpwas-1.56Vand Eactwas-1.54V.
