Review on Anti-corrosion Joint Coating Technology of Oil and Gas Pipelins

Oil and gas pipeline corrosion is one of the major reasons causing pipeline accidents.Joint coating for external corrosion protection of pipelines,which is even more referred to the whole pipeline anti-corrosion coating quality,is an important link in pipeline construction.In this paper,the external anti-corrosion joint coating technologies are classified in accordance with the tape and coatings,the performance characteristics,application ranges and technological features of the most anti-corrosion joint coating technology used popularly at present are in detaile analyzed,which will help to compare and select anti-corrosion materials for pipeline joint coatings and to perform related decision-making.The problems faced by the future external pipeline anticorrosion joint coatings and the research direction are discussed.
