Effect of Temperature on Cyclization Degree and Performance of Imidazoline Inhibitors

    • A series of imidazoline inhibitors were synthesized with diethylenetriamine and oleic acid as reactants in a certain time period and at different temperatures, The products were analyzed with infrared spectrophotometer and ultraviolet sprctrophotometer, and the acid values were measured, and corrosion inhibition performance was studied by electrochemical polarization curves. The results indicated that the corrosion resistance was improved with the increase of cyclization degree and reaction temperature, and the reaction of alkylamide and the cyclization of alkylamide were carried out at the same time. The results of electrochemical polarization curves showed that the corrosion inhibitor was a mixed corrosion inhibitor and could restrain both the cathodic and anodic reactions.
