Corrosion Resistance of Dental Alloys in Artificial Saliva

The corrosion resistance of commercially pure Ti (cp Ti), CoCr alloy and NiCr alloy in artificial saliva (AS) was studied by electrochemical methods. One-way ANOVA with SPSS 11.0 software package was used for statistical analysis.The results show that the order of Eocp was cp Ti < NiCr < CoCr, the order of Ecorr was cp Ti 0.05).The results suggested that the cp Ti, CoCr and NiCr alloys showed a great corrosion resistance.
