Review of Anti-corrosion Measures for Splash Zone and Water Level Fluctuation Area in Harbour Engineering

Due to the long-term conditions of dry-wet cycling, chloride ion attack, large temperature difference between day and light, the structures in splash zone and water level fluctuation area of harbour engineering are seriously corroded and running dangerously. So the anti-corrosion measures should be able to extend the structural durability according to the regional characteristics. This paper reviews the anti-corrosion measures for steel structures and reinforced concrete structures of splash zone and water level fluctuation area in harbour engineering. Combined with the provisions of corrosion statement in standards of the Ministry of Communications, it is pointed out that further study of the region′s anti-corrosion technology is needed.
