Data Analyzing and Processing of FSM

FSM (Field Signature Method) is a new method based on Ohm′s law to monitor pipeline corrosion. This paper analyzed the data of FSM system, and pointed out the problems of the noises in the voltage data and baseline drift in fingerprint coefficenrt (FC). Savitzky-Golay filter mrthod was used to reduce the noises, the reason of FC′s baseline drift was anolyzed, and the general corrosion information in baseline was discriminated by quadratic mean of residuals.
