Abstract
The corrosion behaviors of X70 steel in jet fuel with sulfate reduced bacteria (SRB) were studied by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and polarization curves. The results show that SRB can accelerate the corrosion of X70 steel. The anodic process of X70 steel was blocked and cathodic depolarization was promoted. The concentration of SRB can influence the AC impedance characteristics of X70 steel. At the same temperature, with the increase of the SRB concentration, the corrosion current density increased, the charge transfer resistance and the biofilm resistance decreased, indicating that the X70 steel corrosion will be more serious with bigger SRB concentration.Corrosion reaction was controlled by the cathodic process. In the same concentration, with the temperature increasing, the corrosion potential shifted negatively, and the higher the temperature, the greater the degree of negative shift, resulting in the decrease of X70 steel corrosion resistance.
