Application of Artificial Neural Network to Metal Corrosion in Seawater

Seawater is a complex corrosion medium, the main factors of corrosion for metals exposed to seawater are alloy compositions and environment factors. Artificial neural network has an unique advantage in prediction of metal corrosion in seawater. This article introduces the concept, classification and composition of artificial neural network, and reviews the progress of its application to metal corrosion in seawater.
