    Structure Analysis of Ultrasonic-based Wet Mechanical Plating

    • Mechanical plating coating of Zn was prepared using wet ultrasonic mechanical galvanizing equipment. The structure, morphology and chemical composition of mechanically plated zinc coating were studied using metallographic microscope, scanning electron microscopy and energy spectrometer respectively. The coating porosity was detected by filter paper method. The results showed that a certain thickness of zinc-coating could be obtained without porosity; the coating was mainly made up of zinc, a small amount of Sn and Fe, the main ingredient of the coating was zinc powder particles. Some of the zinc powder particles were agglomerated; the surface of the coating was delicate, uniform, smooth and the whole surface of the coating was flat without uneven structure.
