PROTECTING EFFECT OF ELECTROLESS Ni-W-P ALLOY PLATING ON 65Mn STEEL IN HEAT TREATMENT PROCESS

    • Protecting technique and protecting effect of electroless Ni-W-P alloy plating on 65Mn steel in heat treatment process were studied. At first, the surface of 65Mn steel was enveloped with electroless coating of Ni-W-P alloy.Secondly, the specimen was bathed in salt solution and quenched at 860℃.Finally,the specimen was heated up to 350℃.Through this process, the specimen was not only improved in its mechanical properties, but also strengthened in anti-corrosion ability due to the increase of resistance to HE in heating process. And it had adorning effect like stainless steel’s appearance. The electroless coating had a little effect (about 2%)on its elastic modulus.
