Abstract
The static isothermal corrosion tests on Fe-B eutectic alloy were performed in liquid zinc at 500 ℃.The process and mechanism of corrosion has been explored by studing corrosion kinetics and interface of matrix and Zn.The results showed that corrosion resistance of Fe-B eutectic alloy in liquid zinc was good.Corrosion of Fe-B eutectic alloy resulted from the inter-diffusion of Fe and Zn atoms.Cracks emerged on corrosion layer were caused by thermal stress and wallop of zinc. The corrosion products were dissolved by zinc ultimately.
