Abstract
The electrochemical characteristics of CO2 induced corrosion of X80 steel were studied by means of the measurements of EIS and potentialdynamic polarization. The results showed that the mechanism of X80 did not change in the temperature range of 30 ℃~80 ℃, while the cathodic reaction mechanism of X80 changed at 60 ℃. EIS presented three time-loops, in which at low frequency the inductive arc was related with the surface activation dissolution of steel and the capacitive arc was related with the formation of corrosion film. With the increase of the temperature, the inductive arc reduced and capacitive arc expanded.
