Application of RBI Technology to Unit’s Corrosion Risk Prediction of an Offshore Oil and Gas Field

The risk prediction and corrosion mechanism of an offshore oil and gas field’s equipment were analyzed using risk-based inspection (RBI) technology, and the optimized inspection strategies were also established. Within a set period, the risk of the equipment was reduced down to a reasonable value range, which would reduce inspection cost, improve production efficiency and extend the device’s operating cycle.
