Abstract

The bolt in oil water cooler of refinery vacuum tower fractured after operation for twenty days,by means of macro and microanalysis the results showed that the fracture was caused by hydrogen induce cracking(HIC).The cracking mechanism was discussed and proposal was mentioned for protection of similar failure.
