Abstract
The corrosion behaviors of pure nickel and Hastelloy C276 alloy were studied by immersion tests in molten CaCl2-20% CaF2 (mass%) in vacuum state at 800 ℃. The results showed that the weight loss of the two materials increased with the increase of time and the decrease extent of corrosion rate with time of Hastelloy C276 was larger than that of pure nickel significantly. The reasons of different corrosion resistance property in molten salt were analyzed, and the corrosion mechanisms of the materials were discussed respectively.
