    Effect of Local Repair on Corrosion of Airplane External Structure in a Typical Environment and Correction of Corrosion Equivalent Relationship

    • In order to provide test proofs for determining the calendar repair interval of airplane external structure and formulating maintenance compendium, accelerated corrosion tests were carried out with simulated samples of airplane external structure in a typical accelerated corrosion environment. The influence of local repair for corrosion damage on the corrosion degree of airplane external structure was studied. The results showed that local repair was necessary and important for reducing the corrosion damage of airplane external structure. According to the accelerated corrosion test results of simulated external structure, the proposed calendar time of the first restoring for airplane external structure is eight years. And if corrosion damage is found on the airplane structural parts during service, local repair should be implemented promptly.
