    Numerical Simulation of Erosion for API Round Thread Connection in a Solid-liquid Two-phase Flow

    • To predict the erosion of API round thread connection, the semi-empirical equation which getting from jet experiment was employed to make calculation. Then the flow characteristics in the connection of API round thread tube were simulated.It was suggested that the most serious erosion area was the forward-facing step(FWFS). The erosion rate increased with time and the maximum erosion rate occurred in the displacement of 6 m3/min and 40% volume fraction of solid.
