Abstract
A new corrosion inhibitor named N, N-diethylammonium O, O′-dibenzydithiophosphate (EDBDP) had been synthesized and the inhibition was investigated for Q235 steel in 5% H2SO4 solution by weight loss tests and electrochemical techniques. The studies of weight loss showed that the inhibition efficiency was up to 99.29% when the inhibitor concentration was 100 mg/L in 5% H2SO4 solution at 25±1 ℃, and the adsorption of EDBDP on Q235 steel surface obeyed the Langmuir's isotherm. The electrochemical studies revealed that the inhibitor was mixed-type inhibitor, whose inhibition efficiency was hardly affected by concentration of H2SO4, temperature and immersion time.
