    Electroless Plating Ni-Cu-P Surface Modification of Stainless Steel Polar Plates for PEMFC

    • For solving the problem of high contact resistant of stainless steel as bipolar plates for PEMFC(proton exchange membrane fuel cell),surface modification on stainless steel bipolar plates was carried out by means of electroless plating Ni-Cu-P.The effect of surface modification was evaluated by using methods of contact resistance testing,corrosion testing and XRD,SEM and EDS.The experiment results showed that the contact resistance of surface modified stainless steel was decreased greatly compared with unmodified bipolar plates,the corrosion resistance had be improved significantly.
