Shedding Reason Analyses of Coating on Sealing Ring of Turbine

The shedding reason of the coating on the sealing ring of a turbine disk after the aeroengine test was investigated. Combined with the coating process and aeroengine working principle, the vertification tests were performed. The results suggest that the surface treatment process was proper, and the coating on the specimens would not shed or bubble at 660～720 ℃. The shedding might result from the adhesion of fuel oil steam and the scour of airflow.
