Corrosion Rate Updating of Hydraulic Steel Gates Based on Bayesian Prior Methods

Abstract
The statistic analysis results of the domestie literature and actual projects showed that the corrosion rates of hydraulic steel gates were between 0.02 mm/a and 0.05 mm/a,and the corrosion characteristic was lognormal distribution.By combination with engineering examples,it was proved that the corrosion rate updating using Bayesian prior methods could enhance the veracity of corrosion detection.
