Abstract
The corrosion behavior of 304L stainless steel in boric acid aqueous solution was studied by potentiodynamic polarization curves, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS),scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive spectra. The results showed that the free corrosion potential and corrosion current density of 304L stainless steel increased with the increase of solution temperature. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy results indicated that EIS had a single capacitve loop and the impedance value of the passive film decreased with the increase of solution temperature. With the exposure time prolonging, the corrosion rate decreased and then maintained a lower value.
