    Effects of Residual Tensile Stress on Grooving Corrosion of ERW Pipes

    • The grooving corrosion sensitivity of longitudinal high frequency electric resistance weld (ERW) pipe was tested under constant tensile stress with the method of anodic polarization.The results showed that with the increase of tensile stress the grooving corrosion sensitivity coefficient and corrosion current increased.The grooving corrosion sensitivity coefficient decreased obviously after heat treatment.
