    Corrosion Resistance and Antimicrobial Properties of Copperized Stainless Steel

    • An anti-microbial copperized stainless steel had been obtained by copperizing with a paste of 75%Cu+7%Na3AlF3+18%Al2O3 at 900 ℃ for 8 hrs.The microstructure,corrosion resistanc and anti-microbial property of the copperized steel were investigated by means of XRD,SEM,tests of immersion salt-spray and smearing culture.The copperized stainless steel possessed excellent anti-microbial propery and could kill 99.99% Escherichia coli.The corrosion resistance of copperized stainless steel fell down a little both in the organic or inorganic solvents.
