Abstract
The anodic desorption of bamboo leaves extract and its complex with KI in sulfuric acid was investigated by polarization curves and differential polarization curves. The results showed that the inhibition efficiency increased and the desorption potential positively shifted with the increase of concentration of the bamboo leaves extract. The inhibition efficiency decreased and the desorption potential negatively shifted with the increase of the temperature. After the bamboo leaves extract was composited with KI, the desorption potential positively shifted and the corrosion potential negatively shifted, and thus made the inhibitor region wider and the adsorption stability of inhibitor better. The inhibition efficiency of complex inhibitor increased with the increase of concentration of bamboo leaves extract, and the change was little with the increase of temperature. The desorption potential was linear with the value of logarithm of the concentration and temperature, so the absorption model of bamboo leaves and KI on the carbon steel surface was mainly staggered absorption.
