Abstract
The corrosion rates of superplastic Zn-Al alloys in HCl and Na2SO4 solutions were studied. When Al content is in the range of 2%~18%, adding Al in the alloy can increase its corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of the alloy is determined by the chemical composition, the influence of the grain size is little. Al-rich phase is corroded preferentially in Na2SO4 solution, and Zn-rich phase is corroded preferentially in NaCl solution.
