Abstract
The effect of nickel-electroplating,cadmium-electroplating and passivating,zinc-electroplating and passivating treatment on galvanic corrosion of TA15-treated 30CrMnSiA couples was investigated in 3.5%NaCl solution.The plated film on 30CrMnSiA and the corrosion morphology were observed by SEM.Considering the value of open circuit potential difference,galvanic potential and galvanic current of the different galvanic couples,nickel-plated 30CrMnSiA had the best galvanic corrosion resistance.There were pits on nickel plating and micro-cracks on cadmium plating.The corrosion of zinc plating made it stripped as layers.
