    ELECTROPOLYMERIZATION AND CORROSION RESISTANCE OF PHENOL AND ITS DERIVATIVES

    • The polyphenol coating,poly(o-dihydroxybenze)coating and poly(o-aminophenol)coating were successfully polymerized on stainless steel by electrochemical cyclic voltammetry in Na2CO3 solution.Anodic polarization curve method was used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of these coatings on stainless steel.The coatings were all brown and well distributed,and adhered well to the matrix of stainless steel.The electrochemical test in sodium chloride solution demonstrated that all these coatings could improve the corrosion resistance of stainless steel effectively.
