    Corrosion Protection and Maintenance of Titanium White Acidolysis Tank

    • Acidolysis tank is one of the key equipment in sulfuric acid method of white titanium production. In the course of using, the bottom of the old acidolysis tank, especially the ceramic tiles of compressed air distributor, often collapse easily because of uneven heating and flushing effect. Anticorrosion construction period of the equipment is long and of high cost, so if anticorrosion coating is damaged, the normal production will be affected seriously. After comparing with traditional anticorrosion scheme, analyzing the choosed materials, combining with the experience in years of use and maintenance of plant acidolysis tank, a durable and economical anti-corrosion technology was used for a 132 m3 new acidolysis tank. That is using 4 mm vulcanized butyl rubber as isolation layer, two layers of 65 mm thick of acid-resistant, heat-resistant ceramic tile and KP-type I cement as lining layer. The application has good using effect.
