    Application of FSMLog Corrosion Monitoring Technique to Tazhong No.1 Gas Field

    • The Gas in Tazhong No.1 gas field always contains H2S and CO2 acid gases, which may lead to corrosion problems. In order to monitor the corrosion state of media, a gathering and transferring system and a gas treating system were estabished in the stations. The combination method of wight lost method, probe, and FSMlog (field signature method) were applied to the corrosion monitoring network. Data logged from working sites reflect the corrosion situation of all production segments systematically, which provide firsthand information for decision-making using FSMLog monitoring technical method, the pipeline corrosion situation can be monitored in real time, the shortages of other methods can be offset.
