Synthesis and Performance of a Mannich Based Corrosion Inhibitor

Abstract
A mannich corrosion inhibitor was synthesized by formaldehyde, acetophenone and primary amine. The inhibition efficiency and mechanism of the inhibitor were studied by weight loss method, SEM, electrochemical test and so on. The results show that corrosion rate reduced with the contents of the inhibitor increasing. When the concentration of the inhabitor is larger than 0.5%, the corrosion rate of different steels at 90℃ was controled within 3 g·m-2·h-1.
