    Salt Concentration Difference Macrocell Corrosion of X70 Steel in Yellow Pebble Soil

    • Salt concentration difference macrocell corrosion of X70 steel in yellow pebble soil was studied by means of EIS and weight loss method.It was found that during the early period of the experiment,the sample in soil with high salt content served for the anode of the macrocell,while the polarity of the macrocell reversed after 5 days.The corrosion rate of the anode increased when the area ratio of the cathode to the anode increased.The corrosion rate of X70 steel buried naturally in yellow pebble soil decreased and that of the anode was always rather high with incease of the experimental time.
