Effect of Stray Current on Corrosion of X70 Pipeline Steel

Using a simulation device, the influence of stray current density on corrosion rates of X70 pipeline steel was studied. A comparison investigation of AC, DC and (AC+DC) corrosion was carried out by simulated experiments. The stray current corrosion features and mechanism were analyzed. The results showed that the corrosion rate of X70 steel increased with the increase of stray current density.
