Abstract
Potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and weight loss method were used to study the effect of dissolved oxygen on corrosion behavior of 1# and 2# hull steels in sea water. The results showed that with increase of dissolved oxygen in seawater, corrosion potential increased, and both of corrosion current density and corrosion rate increased. The weight loss tests indicated that the hull steels suffered uniform corrosion in seawater.
