Cyclohexane Acidic Water Separator Corrosion Analysis and Countermeasures

To solve the corrosion problem in cyclohexane acidic water separators,the reasons of equipment corrosion were analyszed comprehensively.Under conditions of the water with 36 mg/L of chloride ions and at temperature 110 ℃,the corrosion of stainless steel 316L was origiinated from pitting.In the presence of organic acids,the corrosion nucleation site originated by Cl- could develop to corrosion pit rapidly.Using SAF2205 duplex stainless steel material to make acidic water separator devices can against pitting corrosion effectively.
