    Cyclohexane Acidic Water Separator Corrosion Analysis and Countermeasures

    • To solve the corrosion problem in cyclohexane acidic water separators,the reasons of equipment corrosion were analyszed comprehensively.Under conditions of the water with 36 mg/L of chloride ions and at temperature 110 ℃,the corrosion of stainless steel 316L was origiinated from pitting.In the presence of organic acids,the corrosion nucleation site originated by Cl- could develop to corrosion pit rapidly.Using SAF2205 duplex stainless steel material to make acidic water separator devices can against pitting corrosion effectively.
